Exhale, Tuscaloosa. It’s OK. Probably.
A photo surfaced Friday apparently showing Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron in a walking boot as he exited the team bus in Atlanta ahead of the Crimson Tide’s Saturday game against Virginia Tech.
But two sources tell FOXSports.com college football insider Clay Travis that the boot is merely a precautionary measure.
Here’s the photo, tweeted out by college football analyst Cole Cubelic:

— Cole Cubelic (@colecubelic) August 30, 2013 McCarron suffered a foot bruise during the Tide’s first preseason scrimmage, but there have been no indications of problems since. He practiced every day this week leading up to the game.
Alabama has frequently used walking boots in recent years as a precautionary measure, according to al.com.
