HOLLY HILL, S.C. – State and local officers are still looking for the person or people responsible for killing four people and wounding a young boy at a home in rural South Carolina.
Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said his officers were following good leads in the investigation of the shooting discovered Wednesday morning at a home just north of Holly Hill. Ravenel called the shooting an isolated incident.
Coroner Samuetta Marshall released the name of the fourth victim late Wednesday. He was 50-year-old Jerome Butler.
Marshall earlier identified the other victims as 28-year-old Kyrstal Hutto, 14-year-old Tamara Perry and 17-year-old Shamekia Sanders.
Authorities haven’t said how the victims were related.
An 8-year-old boy was taken to the Medical University of South Carolina Hospital in Charleston. There was no word on his condition.
